Sunbeams After School Club
Although privately owned, Sunbeams After School Club runs in close collaboration with the school with regular meetings taking pace to support this.
"To positively foster each individual child's natural love of learning, through having fun and playing within a safe and secure enabling environment."
This ethos continues into the After School Club. Our aim is also to ensure all children, irrespective of ethnicity, culture or religion, home language, social and economic background, learning difficulties or disability, gender or ability, should have the opportunity to experience a challenging, enjoyable, fun time at the end of the school day. A time to play with friends and peers inside and out and enjoy a social time eating snack together all supported by the enthusiastic, friendly staff.
Sunbeams After School is Ofsted registered and all staff have an enhanced DBS check and follow the necessary policies and procedures as required in the Ofsted registration. These policies and procedures are available to view on request.
All the children are picked up from their classes at the end of the school day and taken back to the Sunbeams building. The whole building, including the Knox-Little room and outside area are used to give the children the opportunity to play or retreat to a quiet space if they choose. A snack and drink is provided each session.
The Sunbeams entrance in Strode Road is used for all picking up and children may only be picked up by a named, authorised person as set out on the registration form. No minors under 16 will be allowed to pick up even if they are siblings.
There is a yearly registration fee of £10 per family.
Session costs are:-
There is a late collection charge of £3 for each 5 minutes after the agreed pick up time.
The After school Club is registered with childcare voucher schemes, including Computershare, Edenred, Care-4, Childcareplus, Sodexo and Fideliti.
Invoices are given at the beginning of each term and will need to be paid in advance for that term, however individual circumstances may be taken into account. If space allows, occasional extra sessions will be available but a full registration is required.
