Home School Association (HSA)
The purpose of the HSA is to raise funds to provide items or equipment that enhance the school experience for the children, but are not provided for within the school budget. The HSA raises money for the children by organising fundraising events. “Putting the fun into fundraising” is our motto and we aim to bring people together and have some fun whilst making money for a good cause. Our events are varied, ranging from the annual Christmas fair and summer festival to children's discos and regular cake, book and uniform sales.
We hold 7 cake sales a year and ask each year group to take a turn kindly donating the cakes we sell. In return, the money raised from the sale goes towards £150 which we give directly to the year group to be spent on an extra educational resource or activity. Funds from our other events are used for the benefit of the whole school.
We meet as and when a meeting is needed (normally before and after an event). Our AGM is held each September where we plan the events for the academic year.
The HSA Team
There is a small team of approximately 14 volunteer parents and staff who work as the HSA committee and coordinate the events. We also have a larger number of parents, carers and staff who help in numerous ways before, during and after events.
Parents/carers are encouraged to get involved and come along to meetings or help out at events. We appreciate the ongoing support that we receive from the parents/carers and staff who give up their time to enable us to put on these events and make them so successful.
